  1. Pinterest Top 10 - Week of Jan. 28

From healthy eating, to fun fitness routines, to motivation you won't find anywhere else, we want to share some pins we love. Each week, we will select the Pinterest top 10 pins of the week and share them, from our hearts to yours.

    1. Healthy Snacks

What do we love the most about this guide? It really breaks things down for you depending on your mood. Are you looking for something healthy to satisfy your sweet tooth? Try an apple with one tablespoon almond butter. Or maybe you’re hankering for something a little saltier? Follow the board’s guidelines and grab some whole-wheat crackers and salsa. The board even combines sweet and savory options, for snack s like a rice cake topped with almond butter and jelly. It’s the perfect guide for all sorts of healthy afternoon tidbits you can combine to satisfy any craving.

    2. Healthy Recipe

How many of us love those delicious little restaurant mini-burgers (AKA “sliders”) packed with bite-size flavor that you just can’t seem to get enough of? As tasty as they are, most of them are overloaded with calories (460 + in one serving!), fat and sodium – terrible for your diet and health. That’s where this recipe comes in handy. You can make your own scrumptious turkey sliders at home, and save on both calories and sodium while still satisfying your taste buds. Only 169 calories and very, very tasty.

    3. Food Fun

Ever wondered how you would handle it if you had to re-use the same ingredients over and over again for the lunches you take to work? If you’re like many people, you may find that your fridge has some healthy options, but may be concerned about the redundancy involved in eating similar things over and over again. That’s why we love this guide. There’s more than one way to re-use the same food options and still feel like you’re getting something different every single time.

    4. Food Humor

If you’re a lover of Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Peaberry or any quaint little coffee shop, but still struggle to understand all the nuances of social media, then this guide will come in very handy.

    5. Random Goodness

This is an excellent directive to live by. We especially love that it states, “Every problem can be solved,” because even though some problems seem daunting, impossible even, there is always a way to move past them or take care of them. So many people forget that.

    6. Health Information

Your nightly dreaming is paramount for everything from cognitive function, aptitude to exercise and even your ability to maintain a healthy weight. Many adults suffer from insomnia or even finding the time to sleep the recommended amount. How much sleep are you getting, and, more importantly, is it enough?

    7. Fitness Routine

Who would have thought that something most people have to do actually burns so many calories. It’s comparable with most 45 minute or more fitness routines, so we certainly count it as one!

    8. Fitness Information

It’s not just great for your body. The impacts of exercise extend far beyond that, to your brain and emotional state as well. Improved memory, decision-making skills and longer attention spans are all part of the package – just to name a few.

    9. Motivation

Isn’t it funny how something someone said over 100 years ago still is just as true and just as important as if it were said today?

    10. Nutritional Information

When those 2:30 p.m. stomach rumblings come along and you find yourself hankering for a snack, it’s easy to head to the snack machine, push some change into the slot and push the buttons for a bag of potato chips or a candy bar. But before you do, take a look at the comparisons in calories and portion sizes provided on this chart. Now, you tell us, which portion-size looks more filling?
