  1. Pinterest Top 10 - Week of March 4

From healthy eating, to fun fitness routines, to motivation you won't find anywhere else, we want to share some pins we love. Each week, we will select the Pinterest top 10 pins of the week and share them, from our hearts to yours.

    1. Healthy Snacks

Mix this up for a simple (and delicious) dip that you can dip your apples in and eat guilt-free. Apple Dippers: 1 apple, ¼ cup lowfat plain yogurt – mix with 1 tsp. peanut butter, 1 tsp. honey, ¼ tsp. cinnamon. Only 147 calories. For more healthy snack ideas, check out our Healthy Snacks Board.

    2. Healthy Recipe

One of the best ways to eat veggies is with cheese melted on top – but for the most part, it’s far from healthy. That’s what makes this recipe so great – especially for a vegetarian. It gives you all the healthy and nutritious foods you need, a generous portion size and a reasonable amount of calories for dinner (570/serving). Perfect for the whole family, delicious and filling. For more healthy recipes, check out our Recipe Board.

    3. Food Fun

What could be better than a delicious, sweet smoothie? A lot of us secretly love to order them to go along with a burger at our favorite restaurant, but did you know that the average restaurant smoothie can pack over 1,500 calories?!? This guide shows you how to make a healthy (yet still delicious) smoothie from home, using healthier options such as low-fat yogurt and fruit instead of high-sugar icecream and candy bars. You can use whatever base you like (water, milk, etc.), different fruits and veggies, and some fun things like nut butter to thicken it up. For more fun food options, check out our Food Fun Board.

    4. Food Humor

Pretty hilarious, especially considering the overpowering aroma of onion. For more food humor, check out our Food Humor Board.

    5. Random Goodness

Sometimes it feels like bad days come way too often. We spend countless hours fretting over work, kids and minor inconveniences life brings along. For many of us, the expression “stop and smell the roses,” has become almost obsolete. Do we even know what it means anymore? Well, if you literally don’t have time to slow down and enjoy what life has to offer, at least take a moment to take a deep breath and keep this in mind. For more random goodness, check out our Random Goodness Board.

    6. Health Information

Many of us have heard (likely numerous times) about the many steps we can take to combat heart disease – eat leafy greens and other healthy foods, exercise, don’t smoke – all great advice. But did you also know that snuggling and laughing can help you avoid cardiovascular issues as well? For those and other surprising steps you can take to keep your heart clean, take a look at this fun (and interesting) infographic. For further health information we love, check out our Health Information Board.

    7. Fitness Routine

The best way to increase your stamina and make exercising either is to increase the strength of your core. The stronger your body’s core is, the easier it can adapt and maintain itself for other fitness routines, such as running, dancing, swimming and more. This core workout from brand ambassador Amanda Kessler, author of "There Are Two Sides," works great. You can do it from home, during commercials, or wherever to improve your core strength and make the rest of your fitness routines that much easier! For more fitness routines, check out our Fitness Board.

    8. Fitness Information

Who would have thought that you could use a public restroom to get fit? If you can get beyond the potential for being seriously grossed out, this could actually work. This infographic as a fitness routine and gives some great information on how yoga poses can improve flexibility, muscle responses and reactions and more. The yoga poses can make traveling a lot easier too. For further fitness information, check out our Fitness Board.

    9. Motivation

Planning, such as goal-setting, is imperative in order to ensure success. Many health professionals recommend setting very specific goals. For example, rather than setting a goal of, “I want to lose 10 pounds,” set a goal of, “I will lose 2 pounds a week for the next 5 weeks.” Then, take it a step further and plan exactly how you will do that. Ambiguous goal-setting is pointless and will never get you to where you want to be. For further motivation, check out our Motivational Board.

    10. Nutritional Information

As if the taste isn’t enough (who doesn’t love a delicious bowl of strawberries and milk or some bananas drizzled in peanut butter?), fruits also provide your body with some amazing nutritional benefits. Apparently the saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” is pretty darn true – as apples help your bodies resist infections. Take a look for other health benefits fruits provide.
