Top of the morning to you! Despite a crazy week of travel and concerts -- 1,000 miles in a car and Bruce Springsteen live WOO HOO -- I dropped another 1.5 pounds on my Diet-to-Go low-carb meal plan.
After 6 weeks of great eating and little to no exercise (my fault), the scale says I have lost a total of 25.5 pounds to go from 256 to 230.5! That means I have hit my first not-so-mini goal of 10% body weight and can now shoot for Goal #2 -- 10% more of my body weight.
Wish me luck as I endeavor to trim another 23 pounds over the next 8 weeks or so. I think it's time I add in some treadmill and maybe a free weight workout with dumbbells. The extra calorie-burn will help me keep the metabolism burning and the pounds peeling!
If you have any weights lying around, please pick up a 25-pounder just to get a better idea of how much weight I've lost. I know I will be doing that this morning!
OK, so let's see what's on my menu today, as I start Week 7 of my delicious low-carb meal plan.
Breakfast: Western Omelet with Fajita Veggies and Sausage Links
Lunch: Andouille Sausage with Sauced Fajita Veggies and Mozzarella Cheese Zucchini & Squash Mix
Dinner: Grilled Pork Chop with Green Peppercorn Sauce and Garlic Cauliflower Puree, and Green Beans & Roasted Peppers
Now doesn't that sound like a gourmet menu you can sink your teeth into?
